Prerequisite:
-          Students should be able to identify what is office equipment.
-          Students should be aware of the equipment present in the class.
-          Students should be able to identify some examples of other office equipment.

Objectives:
Students should be able to:
Cognitive
-          Identify the different Office Equipment found in the office.
-          State the use of each office equipment.
Psychomotor
-          Distinguish between the different ‘Office Equipment’.
Affective
-          Describe the contribution of the various types of equipment to office efficiency.
Materials: chalkboard, worksheets, notebooks, charts, realia (binder, laminating machine, printer, guillotine, projector, laptop.

Teaching strategies:  Brain Based Learning and Discovery Approach
Introduction
Students will view six (6) office equipment (binder, printer, guillotine, projector, laminating machine, laptop) and will be asked to identify the name and/or the use of each office equipment.
Developmental Process
Step 1.    Students will engage in a class discussion to share their answers.
Step 2.   Then students will listen to a short story and will be asked to identify the different office equipment mentioned in the story and will be asked to write them in their books.
Step 3. Students will then discuss the different office equipment mentioned, whereby the    teacher will write them on the board.
Step 4.  Using the printer as an example, the teacher will demonstrate to the students to introduce the next activity.
Step 5. Students will then be given a worksheet to complete.  Students will read the use of each equipment, and identify the correct equipment by filling in the blanks, using the different equipment on the board.
Step 6.  Students will then share their responses with the rest of the class and making corrections if necessary.

Content Analysis
Types and purpose of equipment used in general and specialized office work:
>Guillotine also known as paper cutter is used to cut either single sheets or stacks of paper.
>Desktop or laptop is used to enter, process and store information.
>Shredder is used to dispose of confidential documents.
>Binding machine is used to collate papers together.
>Risograph is a digital system that scans, copies and prints.  It is designed to print hundreds, even thousands of copies.
 >Photocopier is used to produce multiple copies of the same document. 
>Laminating machine is used to provide protection for important documents and keepsakes.
>Digital Camera is used to take pictures or videos and can easily be transferred to the computer.
>Fax machine is use to transmit and receive exact copies of documents to and from other machines using a phone line.
>LCD Projector is used to project images on a white screen.

Conclusion
The teacher will then revisit the six (6) office equipment on display in order for students to identify the different office equipment.  Students will be given two (2) minutes to review their notes from the worksheet in order to prepare for jeopardy game.

Evaluation
Students will be separated into two (2) groups and be engaged in a mini jeopardy game.  Students will select a card number and based on the key words, students will be asked to identify the office equipment.
